Requests are used as sourcing events for supplier negotiations. These differ from requisitions, which are used to communicate internal requirements of users within the company.
Requests can be used to send offers to multiple suppliers, to receive their counter-offers, and to negotiate terms electronically. Suppliers do not require a Tradogram account to receive and respond to offers. Offers are sent via a secure email link that allows the supplier to complete their offer response through a dedicated interface in a new browser tab.
Once supplier counter offers are received, multiple comparison tools are available to evaluate those offers. Subsequent counter offers can also be resent to suppliers to make proposed adjustments to the terms of the arrangement.
After finalizing the terms of a request, a purchase order or contract can be locked in with one or more suppliers, using the agreed upon terms to establish the new document(s).
